Minor lads in hard luck against Athgarvan in the in the D Championship semifinal.
Always close games between these two teams. Suncroft started strong and were leading by a couple of points, playing into the breeze, at half time.
Athgarvan got in for goals early in the second half and had built an impressive seven point lead going into the last ten minutes. Suncrofts lads got back into the game and were only behind by two going into the last few minutes. Athgarvan’s keeper pulled off a great save to keep them ahead.
Athgarvan got the final score of the game to win, what was a very entertaining game, by three. Athgarvan 5:05(20) Suncroft 3:08(17).
