Suncroft had played Milltown earlier in the league and on that occasion only won by three points in a tight game. The first half of the final was also tight but Suncroft had managed to pull a few points clear.
Suncroft started the second half with determination and within ten minutes had the game all but wrapped up. Milltown fought hard all the way to the end but couldn't break down The Crofts defense or halt The Crofts scoring up front.
