Suncroft Seniors Lose Out In Intermediate Championship Quarter Final

Hard luck to Suncroft's senior team who lost out to Monasterevan this evening in the Courtyard Hotel Leixlip Intermediate Football Championship Quarter Final.

Suncroft were well in the game in the first half and despite con-seeding a dodgy goal, and playing against the cross wind, were only down by a couple of points at the half time break.

Monasterevan started the second half strong and while Suncroft were holding their own Monasterevan's second goal was a big setback. Suncroft were again reducing the margin but Monasterevan picked off a few points and then a goal and the end result was in no doubt.

Final score, Suncroft 0:12(12), Monasterevan 3:10(19).

Suncroft has meandered quite a bit over the last few years but with a panel of players where the average age is just 23 years there is hope for the future.
