A formal GAA coaching course will be held in Suncroft on Friday evening 26th February and Saturday 27th February. Slots still available for club coaches, mentors. Please contact Alan Phelan on  085 209 0374 to book your place.

 

FUNdamentals Coaching Course.

This course is an introductory coaching programme. Coaches will look at:

· Importance of creating a positive environment for players.

· Planning and implementing training programmes.

· Introduction to the player pathway.

· Create an awareness about making sessions more inclusive.

· Importance of Fundamental Movement Skills & Injury Prevention.

Target audience: Any coach or anybody interested in getting involved in coaching – must be 16 years and over.

 

Level 1 Coaching Course.

This course is developed to challenge existing coaches to look more in depth at coaching principles and practices. Coaches will apply information to solve coaching scenarios in practical situations.

Target audience: Must be over 18 yrs and have completed FUNdamentals course and have at least 1 years coaching experience.

 

Ready, Steady, Coach Programme.

A volunteer recruitment Coaching programme aimed at providing support and assistance to new volunteers interested in helping with coaching or running a team within the club.

Target audience: Clubs with new Volunteers who would like to assist with running or coaching a team within the club. Participants must be 16 years of age and over.

 

Places are available for the Ladies coaches first and the lads will quickly follow. If you are interested please contact Alan Phelan (Suncroft GFC Coaching & Games Development) as soon as possible as places will be limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis. Minor and Seniors please note that it is a great way to give something back and looks good on the6 C.V.
