With the wind at their backs the croft men kicked on . In the second half with points from Ciaran Dowling, Liam Harnett, Dean King, Maurice Moran and two fine scores from Jack Setright left the game Out of reach from Raheens who were only limited to a single point albeit against the strong wind. A good all round performance on this greasy day. Best for the croft were Anto Rainbow, Tommy Cleary, Chris Donovan and Ciaran Doeling. The minors stepped up a couple of gears in second half against St Laurences to win comfortsbly on a score of 3-17 to 1-8 St Laurences started the scoring and led by a point before David Nolan opened Suncroft which was quickly followed up by two points from Dylan Connelly and Jack Setright. The Larries rallied and it was a very tight game and at half time St Laurences led by 1-06 to 0-06 at half time Suncroft came out in the Second half and totally blew the Larries away with the help of Dylan Connellly who scored 3-04 from play and Dean King who scored 0-05 and Jack Setright who scored 0-04, Ciaran Brennan scored 0-02 with points from Jason Kelly and Chris Stynes. In the end Suncroft proved to strong for the Larries and won by a margin of 3-17 to 1-08 and will play Sallins in Round 3 of the Championship on Monday 25 July in Kilcullen The U16s got a great draw awy to Carbury in their Rd 2 championship match. This means a win or a draw in their next match away to Robertstown on Friday evening will guarantee a quarter final berth The U8's blitzed all their rivals in the U8 blitz in St Laurences on Saturday They defeated their hosts St Laurences, Eadestwn and Moorefield The U9's had challenge match against St Laurences and Baltinglass. Lotto There was no winner of the lotto jackpot(€1900 this week. The winners of the €25 prizes were Tom Byrne, Anne Ryan, Maurice & John Hartnett, Mossy Talbot and Michael Wright.
