Suncroft Festival 13-15 May 2011 Suncroft GFC would like to thank Suncroft Festival Team for a fantastic weekend. Special thanks to Jeanne, Sean & Kevin Murphy for organizing and driving the festival. An amazing €2,200 was raised over the weekend which was shared and broken down as follows: Suncroft GFC €500, Suncroft Girls GFC €500, Parochial House Committee €500 Parish Priest €200 Pensioners Fuel Fund €200 Curragh Pipe Band €200 €100 was required to cover organizing expenses. Many thanks to all involved in assisting the Murphy Family. We would also like to thank Lorraine and Tony Howard. The work, dedication and generosity shown by all involved ensured this was a very successful weekend and we are all ready looking forward to next years festival. Congratulation to the Suncroft Under 14 Girls team on winning the Elizabeth Murphy Cup and Congratulations to Boys Under 14 team on winning the Philip Murphy Cup. Finally a word from Sean Murphy, lead organizer of Suncroft Festival: Sean would like to thank Kevin Murphy ,John Moore's Fuels , Paul and Sharon Dooley for their help in organizing the GAA matches in the Suncroft Festival. Kilcullen GAA sent over a veterans team who done the rags proud. Shane Kavanagh and Kevin Woods were two more great helpers as was John Moore for the use of his premises for the music and poker classic. Sean would also like to add that the late Liam Murphy would be extremly proud of his family for what has been achieved in his memory over the last few years and finally thanks to all our over seas visitors who added some much to the occasion.
